Position Summary
FAWE Tanzania seeks to recruit a qualified Field Officer. The Field Officer’s primary function is to oversee the implementation and monitoring of project activities at target partner institutions within the region/cluster in Tanzania.
The Field Officer will ensure that implementation schedules are met in accordance with the detailed project activity implementation plan and strengthen adherence to systems for quality project implementation. The role will also involve supporting the organization’s work in championing girls’ and women’s education and engaging stakeholders to achieve project and organizational objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support FAWE Tanzania programs by supervising and managing activities in the Tanzania region/cluster and other project sites.
- Support the identification and selection of beneficiaries based on established criteria.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to beneficiaries to ensure compliance with program requirements and collect feedback on their experiences.
- Gather data related to beneficiary performance and program impact, including through surveys and interviews.
- Prepare detailed reports on field activities and submit them to the Project Coordinator or relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Take the lead in preparing field reports as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between beneficiaries and the project management team.
- Organize training sessions for beneficiaries to enhance their understanding of the bursary process, financial management and the extended orientation program.
- Assist in developing educational materials that support beneficiaries in utilizing their financial aid effectively.
- Manage logistics related to field operations, including travel arrangements for site visits.
- Engage with local communities to promote awareness of the project within the region/cluster.
- Collaborate with partner institutions, community leaders and other stakeholders to foster support for the project.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Work, Project Management, Social Work, or another relevant field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project design and implementation in a similar role.
- Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects and stakeholder engagement.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the environment and people, including culture.
- Ability to remain flexible in a changing environment and make decisions independently.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to the mission, vision and values of FAWE Tanzania.
Languages
Fluency in both English and Swahili is required.

Position Summary
FAWE Tanzania seeks to recruit a qualified IT Officer. The IT Officer will be responsible for providing effective technical support and managing FAWE Tanzania’s information technology systems, infrastructure, devices and digital platforms.
The position will ensure that ICT systems are secure, reliable, functional and responsive to the organization’s operational and programme needs.
The IT Officer will support staff in the effective and secure use of digital tools, maintain IT assets and systems, strengthen data security and backup mechanisms, and contribute to the continuous improvement of FAWE Tanzania’s digital infrastructure.
The IT Officer will also support the Human Resource function in maintaining data and serve as the HRIS system manager in the ERP system.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide IT support to FAWE Tanzania staff on various tools and software across working devices and support staff in using new technologies.
- Support Human Resources with drafting documents and policies and report writing.
Key Activities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, including troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults.
- Support the organization in ensuring a high level of information and data integrity and the security of communication lines, equipment and information systems.
- Support FAWE Tanzania ICT facilities during workshops and conferences.
- Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of hardware and software.
- Ensure all IT updates are shared and timely guidance is sought.
- Interact with Programs, Operations and National Chapters to ensure understanding of business needs and efficient support delivery.
- Support the organization’s network administration.
- Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, security and documentation of local area networks, servers, desktop/laptop computers, communication resources and other office equipment.
- Support the implementation of FAWE Tanzania ICT initiatives and policies.
- Provide Microsoft Office support, Active Directory maintenance and VMware support.
- Support Windows Server 2016 R2 logging of problems in the ServiceNow FAWE Tanzania IT enterprise ticketing helpdesk system.
- Manage chapter mailing lists.
- Provide specialized application installation and support.
- Provide IT support for all FAWE Tanzania office programs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Competencies Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Informatics and Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, maintaining Integrated Human Resource Information Management Systems.
- Extensive knowledge of computer networks, including their operation and repair.
- Good report writing and drafting skills to support document production and editing.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Position Summary
FAWE Tanzania is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join its team as a Driver.
The Driver will ensure safe and professional driving during tours and official visits. The position is responsible for driving the office vehicle, maintaining vehicle records and ensuring routine vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect the vehicle before and after every trip to determine its safety condition.
- Transport staff to various areas on official trips.
- Carry out minor vehicle repairs.
- Collect and distribute various documents.
- Fill in and maintain all trip information in the logbook.
- Prepare fuel requisitions and material indents for vehicle repairs.
- Clean the vehicle on a daily and weekly basis.
- Ensure proper parking of all vehicles on the office premises.
- Ensure vehicle insurance and driving licence are valid.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation in order to achieve programme safeguarding goals.
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding to help establish a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse safeguarding policies among team members and ensure implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow safeguarding reporting procedures in case any reportable incident occurs and encourage others to do so.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of Form Four (Form IV) and Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
- Must possess a Class D or C Driving Licence.
- At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident.
- Must have training certificates that qualified the applicant to obtain the respective driving licence class.
- Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another college recognized by the Government.
