The Senior Manager, Recovery will be responsible for developing and implementing recovery strategies, managing non-performing assets, maximizing recoveries, minimizing credit losses, and ensuring effective arrears management while leading a high-performing recovery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recovery strategies, policies, and processes.
- Drive achievement of recovery targets and enhance recovery performance.
- Manage and monitor non-performing and impaired credit facilities.
- Recommend and implement appropriate recovery actions, including restructuring, settlements, litigation, and asset realization.
- Supervise debt collectors, auctioneers, and the Recovery team to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare recovery plans, portfolio reports, and management updates.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
- Identify recovery risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Perform any other duties as may be delegated or assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ banking experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in credit recovery, distressed asset management, and loan restructuring.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management, recovery strategies, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
