Kilimo Trust invites qualified consultants and firms to submit applications to design and facilitate a training consultancy during the Kilimo Trust Tanzania Staff Forum scheduled for 10 July 2026 in Dodoma, Tanzania.

Background

Kilimo Trust Tanzania recently relocated its office to Dodoma in March 2026. As the team settles into a new operating environment and begins the new financial year, Kilimo Trust seeks a consultant to facilitate a one-day training and team-building session.

The session is expected to strengthen collaboration, support efficient management, and improve how cross-country teams work together.

This assignment should go beyond a standard team-building event. The training should help to:

  • Identify current teamwork and coordination challenges.
  • Propose practical ways to improve collaboration across country teams.
  • Support management to work more efficiently.
  • Strengthen cohesion, communication, and trust within the Tanzania team and across the wider organization.

Purpose of the consultancy

The purpose of the consultancy is to design and facilitate a one-day interactive training session that:

  • Strengthens professional working relationships among staff.
  • Improves collaboration, trust, and team cohesion.
  • Identifies team and management challenges affecting performance.
  • Generates practical recommendations for improving the management of cross-country teams.
  • Supports management effectiveness, efficiency, and communication.
  • Enhances team building in ways that contribute to stronger organizational performance.

Scope of work

The consultant will be expected to:

  • Review the current context and training needs of the Kilimo Trust Tanzania team.
  • Design a participatory training and team-building programme for a one-day forum.
  • Facilitate discussions and exercises that surface key challenges affecting teamwork, coordination, and management efficiency.
  • Provide practical tools, approaches, and recommendations for improving collaboration within Tanzania and across cross-country teams.
  • Deliver a short post-event report summarizing key observations, recommendations, and proposed follow-up actions.

Expected outputs

The consultant will be expected to deliver the following outputs:

  • An inception report outlining the consultant’s understanding of the assignment, proposed methodology, facilitation approach, and agenda.
  • A tailored one-day training and team-building programme aligned with Kilimo Trust Tanzania’s context and needs.
  • Facilitation of the staff forum on 10 July 2026, including practical sessions on:
    • Teamwork
    • Communication
    • Management efficiency
    • Collaboration across cross-country teams
  • Training materials, tools, and exercises used during the session.
  • A brief end-of-assignment report summarizing:
    • The process followed
    • Key issues identified
    • Recommendations for improvement
    • Proposed follow-up actions to strengthen team cohesion and management effectiveness

Consultant profile
