Available positions
Experienced Driver Guide 3 positions
- Safely drive guests in 4×4 safari vehicles on game drives and transfers within Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and other Tanzanian national parks.
- Provide expert wildlife interpretation, ecological information, and cultural insights to enhance the guest safari experience.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness, maintenance, and safety at all times.
- Ensure the highest levels of guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction during all drives and activities.
- Work closely with Camp Managers, guides, and lodge teams to deliver seamless luxury safari experiences.
- Comply with all Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), TANAPA, TAWA, and NCAA regulations regarding driving, guiding, and wildlife viewing.
- Assist with luggage handling, guest briefings, and emergency procedures when required.
- Report any wildlife sightings, road conditions, or maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements – education, knowledge and experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Tour Guiding, Wildlife Management, or related field from a recognized institution, for example College of African Wildlife Management – Mweka, VETA, or National College of Tourism.
- Minimum 10 years’ proven experience as a Driver Guide in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and other major Tanzanian national parks (Ruaha, Katavi, Tarangire, Nyerere/Selous, etc.).
- Valid Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Driver-Guide License is mandatory.
- Valid Tanzanian Class C or E driving license with extensive off-road and defensive driving experience in national parks.
- Excellent knowledge of Tanzanian wildlife, birds, ecology, and park regulations.
- Strong track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences with positive feedback.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili. Knowledge of additional European languages is an added advantage.
- First Aid certification and knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures in remote areas.
- Clean driving record and ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and long drives.
- Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a passion for wildlife conservation and hospitality.
