Masika Ventures is seeking an organized and proactive Human Resources Officer to manage daily HR operations, workforce administration, and labor compliance for its venture portfolio, including Tanganyika Blue a pioneering native species aquaculture enterprise in Tanzania. This role drives employee development, performance management systems, and workplace relations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Administration & Payroll: Manage daily workforce operations, including attendance logs, leave balances, loan applications, and monthly payroll data inputs.
- Performance Management: Coordinate annual employee performance reviews, appraisal frameworks, and skills training records.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Enforce local labor law compliance, manage disciplinary procedures and grievance investigations, and lead monthly Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) initiatives.
- Operational Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align human capital strategies across regional office and field locations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on human resources and personnel administration experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and statutory workplace regulations.
- Strong bilingual proficiency (English and Swahili) with excellent interpersonal and mediation skills.
