Assistant Accountant Job Vacancy at Pepsi Tanzania

SBC Tanzania Limited is a well-established and progressing multinational company that supplies soft drinks products nationwide. We have plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, and Mbeya. Currently, our Head Office seeks to urgently recruit qualified, experienced, and hands-on-skilled personnel to fill the following position:

Job Position: Assistant Accountant (1)

Reporting to: Assistant Finance Manager

Head Office – Dar es Salaam

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure that daily materials movements, daily sales reports are correctly checked as to accurate before posting them into the books of accounts. To ensure that Company GL accounts are properly maintained and updated daily. Also Maintain Finance target of closing accounting entry as per SBC monthly Calendar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tax Returns – All Statutory Requirements
• Verify the accuracy of expense/Purchase vouchers posting into accounting system.
• Support month-end and year-end closing targets
• Maintain and update creditors’ ledger accounts.
• Dealing with Bank Reconciliation and collection reports
• Process local vendors Invoice Booking and payments
• Assist in inventory tracking and costing for raw materials
• Dealing with internal Company transactions
• Prepare supporting documents for audits and tax filings.
• Generate financial reports and assist in variance analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations

ENTRY REQUIRED:

• Advanced Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, Auditing.
• At least 2 years’ working experience in the manufacturing industry. An applicant with a
• CPA will be highly considered.
