The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Managing Director and is responsible for safeguarding the company’s legal and regulatory compliance.

Key Skills and Expertise
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- Must be a graduate from the Law School of Tanzania.
Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the cement, manufacturing, mining, or energy sector.
Communication
- Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili.
Regulatory Knowledge
- Knowledge of statutory, environmental, mining, safety, and labour requirements.
Contract Management
- Ability to draft, review, and monitor contractual obligations.
Integrity and Discretion
- Ability to handle confidential company information responsibly.
Attention to Detail
- Sound judgement, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licences.
- Maintain the Legal & Regulatory Compliance Register and ensure timely renewal of permits.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance relating to plant operations, mining, environmental matters, safety, and labour requirements.
- Track litigation, claims, and disputes in coordination with external advocates.
- Liaise with government and regulatory authorities.
- Support corporate governance, Board matters, and statutory records management.
